It was a mixed blessing, to be sure, when we found out that my husband had secured a new job in Lubbock, Texas. We knew there were many things that we had to resolve. Selling our home was at the top of the list. We were also concerned about our children and their respective school schedules. To make a seamless transition, our ultimate goal was to sell our home in Las Vegas quickly, which would allow us to start construction on a new home in Lubbock. Of equal concern, we wanted to ensure that this move did not interrupt the final months of school, for our children, especially as we had a senior who is graduating at the end of May.
